Outdoor recurve:
Indoor recurve:
Compound:
My first spell of archery was from 1982 to 1992. I was exclusively into American Flat Bow, shot instinctively. I was a dead-eye shot, and a pain in the backside because I was sniffy about recurves. And as for compounds...
I gave it up when I stopped enjoying it. This happened because of the intensity and narrowness that I hint at above. Moral: enjoy your archery, let others enjoy theirs, and don't wibble on at people for using training wheels etc.
I got back into archery in February 2004. This time, I was determined simply to enjoy it. Unfortunately, I was no longer as good a shot as I used to be. Hence my Sagi handle -- Missed A Barn Door.
This time, I got a recurve and -- a compound!
I'm getting there shooting-wise, but don't expect to ever be much more than a recreational archer.
I'm the secretary of the Phoenix Bowmen, a small-but-growing club in Halifax.
I used to be a much better shot when I never had a single thought in my head about technique...
I skulk around on other boards as TJ Mason -- a cunning pseudonym based on my birth certificate.
