Due to lack of time (familiar reasons), I just let aside archery a bit this last term - but I hope I'll beback soon on the archery fields!
I began when I was 18, now I am 36 (it makes 18 years, wow!).
I became national instructor on 17th Jan 1993 (age 22 - one of the youngest in Italy).
I took part to several regional and national competitions but with no great results. Actually I prefer teaching to competing!
I have been member of the Society of Archer Antiquires and published two contributions on its Journal.
I enjoy field shooting (3D targets) and historical shooting.
Personally I cannot see a contrast between modern and historical archery as many people do. Shooting an arrow is just shooting an arrow and I do that with a compound aswell as with a Middle-Age longbow without feeling a betrayer of the "historicals" or of the "wheelers".
I think the most important thing for an archer is shooting, hitting the spot and enjoying his sport.
