I have started shooting at the University of Southampton last October, shooting a club bow until christmas. I bought my own bow at christmas. My personal best with the club bow was 482 and I currently shoot around 530 (Portsmouth rounds). So far, I have appreciated the indoor season, however there is a lot of work to be done for the outdoor season (white nocks and vanes help a lot if you miss!).
You have to be careful not to become addicted to the sport. This is the first rule I have found. The second rule is not to get obsessed of scoring. Furthermore it is not easy to pick your equipment. Probably, not everybody has the problem to have shot for such a short period of time and to compete on level beyond expactation.
I hope more ladies will pick up the sport and join us at competitions.
