Seems to be relatively quiet compared to some other newsgroups. But quiet is better than silly flame wars! :-) Searching through historical posts using Google has been very useful.
It'd be nice if the Sagi board had a search function more like Googles.. I still don't quite grok regexps.
My current setup is a 64" Nishizawa TD-02. Everything (riser, limbs, stabalizers, button) except the sight is made by Nishizawa.
Sight - Killian Chek-It with no micro adjust.
String - ASB Dyneema with ASB Serving. (Bow came with 2 Kevlar strings! One broke about a week later.. I thought I had better make a new string before the other one broke!)
The bow is too short for me. I have a 29" draw. But it's been alright since I graduated off the wooden club bows. It'll do until my new bow arrives.
Arrows - 29.5" xx75 1913
Tab - A&F
First picked up a bow in Feb 2002.
Four weeks later I passed the club beginners course by shooting 90 arrows at 20m on a big face and scoring 732. I thought that was great! Six months later, I'd be disappointed if I didn't score at least 850.. :-)
When making a string, don't let the string come off the jig before you put the serving on and turn into a big pile of knots ....
