I also have a GreenHorn Victory with Carbon Ultra ceramics limbs, 70", #36, #42 at fingers, but the last 2 months it has been at the factory, to correct a very slight twist. This is my favourite bow, and I will to receive it in a couple of days, and contiune shooting it. The Hoyt will go to the box and act only as a second bow.
Thanks to GreenHorn for making such fine bows.
I started shooting in October 1995, with a nice green wooden bow.
My first real bow was a Spigarelli 1300 Plus, with Hoyt Carbon Plus limbs, #47 real draw weight. I used it to shoot 1000 FITA on my second season, and to win local and regional championships on 1997, and shooted 1100 FITA on 1998.
Then I upgraded to a KG Q.I.L. carbon bow, #53 real draw weight, and shooted 1150 FITA in the last 1998 competition, but after breaking four risers, I realized that shooting so high power wasn't economical.
On 2000 I was only rebuilding my form, but on 2001, with my loved GreenHorn I shooted 1200 FITA, and on 2002 I have shooted my personal bests, some with GreenHorn and some with Avalon:
- Indoors (I didn't shoot 18 arrows round):
2x30 arrows.- 569 (GreenHorn)
12 arrows.- 117 ( " )
- Outdoors:
FITA.- 1.253 (Avalon)
90 m.- 288 (GreenHorn)
70 m.- 323 (GreenHorn)
50 m.- 324 (Avalon)
30 m.- 346 (Avalon)
2x70.- 622 (GreenHorn)
18 arr. 70 m.- 161 (Avalon)
12 arr. 70 m.- 105 (Avalon)
Also, on 2002, some good results: 2002 Indoors and Outdoors local and regional champion, and 8th at National Championships. I hope to shoot better next season, specially Outdoors (I don't really like Indoors).
Don't matter what people say: bare shaft tuning method is a lack of time. Shoot only good shots and tune by groups.
Don't worry about winning. Again, shoot only good shots, the score will improve itself, and you will win.
Don't try to win anyone. Inside you lives the worse opponent. If you win him, you're the best archer in the world.
