| This is an old picture of Regina in a tournament - she used to shoot the recurve bow left-handedly |
Regina used a Hoyt AVALON and CARBOFAST limbs (34 lbs.)
She shot ACE shafts 720 (28.5") and an AGF stabilizing system.
Her sight was an AGF SAFARI.
Now she shoots a PSE compound (43 lbs.) and ACC 3L-18 (28") outdoors and 22/14 Aluminum shafts with feather fletching.
Walter occasionally still shoots a (very) old HOYT SUPERSLAM. More often he uses a PSE Silhouette. The peak weight is 51 lbs. on the HOYT, which has got these old-fashioned glass fibre limbs and 51 lbs. on the PSE.
His arrows are ACC 3-28 (28"). The arrow-rest is a GOLDEN KEY. The sight is a TOXONICS and a 3-power SUPERSCOPE from VEGAS with a .25" ring in diameter to aim with. The release used is a simple FLETCHMATICS, simple but absolutely foolproof.
Regina and I are both members of Deutscher Bogensportverband and Deutscher Schützenbund.
We take part in championships of both associations because we feel that archery is the issue - not the quarreling of associations.
We have both won several national championships in Deutscher Bogensportverband or at least come in second or third in the single competition and have won several titles in the team competition.
Regina is two times German Champion (1991 + 1995) of the Deutscher Bogensportverband with the recurve bow and I have won several titles in the field archery round of that association.
I have also come in second in the first Compound demonstration tournament of the Deutscher Schützenbund in Hamburg, which was part of the German Championship of that year.
Together with my team-mates Ralf and Harald Nosbüsch I have won the silver and bronze medal in the German Indoor team-competition of Deutscher Schützenbund and together with Ralf Nosbüsch and Roland Pepperl I won the silver medal a second time.
Winning isn´t everything ....
that´s what you find out if you have won everything !!!
Have a look at the homepage of KSSK - winner 1998 of the one and only German open-air team-competition (Bundesliga) with several Dutch players!!!
